Heart of Europe, one of the most beautiful cities in the world and an architectural dream on the Vltava River – this is Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Thanks to its location in the centre of Europe, Prague has always been an Vltavaimportant crossroads of trade and culture. In the course of its thousand-year history, Prague has always been the political, cultural, and business centre of the country.
Golden Prague is a city of hundred spires, an UNESCO site, a majestic and slightly mysterious city with a unique atmosphere. Among the most visited sights are Prague Castle (one of the biggest castles in the world), Charles Bridge, or the Old Town Square with famous Astronomical Clock. You can enjoy the atmosphere of the city from a boat on the Vltava River, by walk through old streets and corners, relax in many parks and last but not least taste the famous Czech beer!
The NH Prague City hotel, formerly known as NH Prague, is perfect for tourists looking to explore this famous city. The historical center – with its castle and the famous Charles Bridge – is easy to get to by tram, metro or on foot. Hotel is in the Smichov area, close to shops, cafés and restaurants, 500 meters to the nearest metro station and 20-minute walk to the city center.

Middle of September brings usually nice autumn weather in Prague, but is unpredictable. Temperatures of around 15°-20°C can be expected.
The Prague-Vaclav Havel Airport, located 15 km from the city center and approx. 17 km from the symposium venue, is served by many international airlines. The cost of the taxi service from the Ruzyně Airport to the city centre is about 20 EUR nowadays. The shuttle bus service operates as well. City bus No. 119 will take you from the airport to the metro station Nádraží Veleslavín.
City transportation Prague has a comprehensive network of public transportation consisting of three metro lines, trams and buses. Single tickets or travel passes can be purchased at most newspaper stands and from the coin machines at metro stations.
The official currency is Czech Crown (CZK). Foreign currency exchange is available at Václav Havel Airport Prague and at most hotels, banks and exchange offices throughout the city. Present average rate is 26 CZK for 1 EUR. Major credit cards are accepted in many shops, restaurants and hotels.
Participants from EU and most European countries can enter the Czech Republic without a visa. Other participants are advised to check the requirements at the closest Embassy or Consulate of the Czech Republic in their home country.
An official letter of invitation can be sent on request.
Participants are strongly advised to arrange their own personal travel and health insurance. The Organizing Committee will not accept any liability for personal injuries or loss or damage of property belonging to Symposium participants and accompanying persons.
The Czech Republic uses a 230V/50 Hz system. Sockets are in the form of European standard.
